Term Time plus Inset Days - Start Date: ASAP

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Technician to join
our outstanding, dynamic, and diverse Art Department. The role will be to primarily work with the
Art Department in photography, digital imaging, ceramic, and art studios,
whilst also being a valued member of a community of Technicians across the
college. Key duties include both routine
tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Art Department such as placing orders
for and organising Art Department resources, maintenance of media/ICT
equipment, routine administration as well as preparation for lessons and
supporting students in the classroom, as directed by teaching staff. Excellent organisational skills are
essential. A passion for Art and/or some
experience or training in other Art and Design areas would be an advantage.

Candidates will
need to demonstrate the following

  • Flexibility and an ability to work in a fast-moving
    environment, often with conflicting priorities
  • excellent administration, coordination, and
    organisational skills
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    with the ability to communicate well with both students and college staff
  • good IT skills, a sound working knowledge of
    Microsoft packages and Adobe Photoshop with the ability to establish and
    implement robust systems and procedures
  • willingness to support at Art exhibitions and other
    departments across school
