We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and reliable Assistant School Cook to join our hardworking team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for our pupils while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals in line with school menus and nutritional guidelines.
  • Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Manage food storage, stock control and ordering.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff as required.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and food safety procedures.
  • Create a positive dining experience for pupils and staff.
  • We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience of catering or cooking in a professional environment.
  • Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate (or is willing to obtain one).
  • Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Enjoys working with children and contributing to the school community.
  • Has a commitment to high standards and excellent customer service.
