Assistant Head/KS1 teacher job summary
The children, staff and governors at Court de Wyck Church School are looking to appoint an aspiring leader and inspirational KS1 class teacher to join our dedicated and successful team. This Assistant Head position offers a range of opportunities for someone wishing to take their next leadership step. This is a teaching role with 4 days of teaching and 1 day of leadership and will begin on 1st September 2022.
The successful candidate will be:
• An excellent class teacher with proven high-quality teaching experience in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
• Passionate about excellence in teaching and learning and is committed to providing a high-quality learning environment in which each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential and make sustained progress
• Highly skilled in the teaching of phonics.
• Flexible, hardworking and an effective team member with excellent communication skills.
• An exemplary role model who can inspire, challenge, support and nurture pupils and staff alike, sustaining the high morale that exists within the school, while maintaining and strengthening links with parents and the wider community.
• Ambitious with high expectations of pupils, colleagues and themselves.
• Able to empower and motivate children, staff and parents, being a visible presence in and around the school.
• Able to demonstrate the ability to achieve sustainable improvement and will consolidate and build on the progress already made within the school, working with the school staff to lead Court de Wyck forward into an outstanding future.
