Assistant Headteacher Forest Bridge School is a Special Free School for children (4-16 years) with autism which opened in September 2015 and has moved into our purpose built building in March 2021. The school’s vision is: To be a leading provider of education for children and young adults with the primary diagnosis of autism. Combining Applied Behaviour Analysis, evidence-based therapy and effective personalised curriculums to enable pupils to fulfil their potential, prepare for adulthood and lead happy lives. Significant experience of working with an ASD population is essential and an understanding of ABA is highly desirable. You will join a dedicated team of staff and help continue the culture in which every pupil has the opportunity to thrive and flourish. You will receive professional development to meet your individual needs and a very supportive Headteacher to mentor you throughout your career at Forest Bridge School. The role has a maximum teaching commitment of 2.5 days but is likely, if not immediately, to overtime become a non-teaching role. The school is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
