We are recruiting for two Assistant Headteachers:

One post has arisen through the resignation of an existing postholder, and the second is a newly created position designed to increase capacity within our Senior Leadership Team. This investment reflects our commitment to strengthening leadership, supporting school improvement and ensuring we are well placed to deliver the very best outcomes for pupils, staff and the wider community.

We strive to Strengthen, Harness, Invest, Nurture and Empower every child, ensuring they are supported to develop confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging as a member of the #LeycroftCrew.

As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school. Working closely with the Executive Headteacher, Head of School and wider leadership team, you will provide strong and effective leadership across the school to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, inclusion, attendance, pupil welfare, and educational provision.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes for pupils.
  • Is an ambitious and strategic leader with the ability to turn vision into action.
  • Has high expectations of themselves, colleagues and pupils.
  • Can inspire, motivate and develop staff through supportive and effective leadership.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is resilient, organised and able to work effectively in a demanding and rewarding environment.

In return, we can offer:

  • A welcoming, supportive and ambitious school community.
  • A committed and talented staff team.
  • An opportunity to make a significant contribution to the strategic development of the school.
  • High-quality professional development and opportunities for career progression.
  • Supportive governors and a collaborative leadership team.
  • Enthusiastic pupils who are keen to learn and succeed.
  • A school that is committed to staff wellbeing and professional growth.
