What skills and experience we're looking for

We are now looking for a committed Attendance and Pastoral Practitioner, who will work within our strong pastoral team, helping our children to be in school on time and to be ready for learning, using our behaviour initiatives to encourage pupils to make the most of their learning opportunities. We need a practitioner who will be an inspirational role model to our children and work with staff and families to give our pupils the best start to their education.


Strategic purpose of the role:

  • To ensure that the statutory obligations around pupil attendance, the reporting of pupil attendance and the integrity of attendance registers is maintained.
  • Under the direction of the Safeguarding Lead, ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of pupils and staff and be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • To develop, lead and manage a range of mentoring programmes ensuring that resources of the Academy are used effectively and efficiently to support vulnerable pupils
