What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a warm, caring and committed individual to join our team as an Attendance Intervention Lead, with the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and their families.

Working closely with our attendance and wider school teams, you will provide individual and small-group support to students who are experiencing barriers to attending school. You will take the time to get to know each young person, understand the challenges they may be facing and help them to feel safe, supported and confident in returning to and engaging with school.

A key part of the role will be working closely with families. This may include maintaining regular communication with parents and carers, offering updates and support, and undertaking home visits where appropriate to better understand and help remove barriers to attendance. We are looking for someone who can approach these conversations with empathy, sensitivity and genuine warmth, while always maintaining positive and professional relationships.

You will also support students through targeted interventions, both individually and in small groups, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs. You will monitor progress, provide feedback and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that students receive the right support at the right time. The role will also include some administrative responsibilities, communication with parents and staff, and contributing to the wider life of the school.
