What skills and experience we're looking for

We're seeking a proactive, compassionate, and highly organised Attendance Officer to support our Hospital Short-Term Provision (Home Teaching) service. This essential role bridges the gap between education and home for pupils who cannot attend school. You’ll play a crucial role in:

  • Encouraging and ensuring pupil attendance at both in-person and online lessons delivered in the home.
  • Supporting the Centre Leader with planning and scheduling lessons.
  • Carrying out home visits to help families prepare for home teaching, including completing risk assessments.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff to reduce barriers to engagement and promote a positive learning experience.

This is more than just an administrative post—you will be a key link in helping some of our most vulnerable learners reconnect with education.

  • Experience in attendance, safeguarding, or family support work is highly desirable.
