About the role

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Business Support Assistant to join the team at Woodpecker Hall Academy.

You’ll be one of the first points of contact for pupils, families, staff and visitors, helping to keep the academy office running smoothly. The role includes reception, attendance, admissions, family communication and general administration, as well as supporting pupil welfare and medical needs.

If you enjoy working with people, can stay calm in a busy environment and take pride in getting things done accurately, we’d love to hear from you.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident working in a busy school environment. You’ll need to communicate well with pupils, families and colleagues, handle sensitive information with care and be comfortable managing a varied workload.

Previous experience in a busy administrative role is important, along with good IT skills and strong attention to detail. Experience in a school setting, particularly with attendance, safeguarding or pupil welfare, would be an advantage, as would knowledge of the Turkish language when supporting our diverse school community.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is positive, reliable and genuinely enjoys supporting children, families and the wider school community.

What we offer

We are committed to being a supportive, caring and rewarding place to work and learn, and to being an employer of choice. A full overview of our offer, including staff benefits, our People Plan and what our staff say about working with us, can be found in the supporting documents attached.
