What skills and experience we're looking for

What you'll be doing

  • Running the school’s careers programme, making sure pupils get the right advice at the right time.
  • Working with employers, colleges, and training providers to organise meaningful careers events and experiences.
  • Helping pupils explore their options for further education, apprenticeships, and work.
  • Supporting staff so they can embed careers learning into lessons.
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers so they can help guide their children.
  • Keeping track of what’s working well and making sure we meet the Gatsby Benchmarks.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school or careers-related role.
  • Hold a Level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance – or are willing to work towards it.
  • Are well-organised and confident working with different stakeholders, including employers, pupils, and parents.
  • Have good IT skills and can work with systems like Word, Excel, Google Drive, and careers platforms.
  • Are passionate about making sure every young person gets the best possible start in their career journey.

Further details about the role

This post is full time, 37 hours per week, and offers the postholder flexibility being term time only plus 5 training days.
