Caretaker job summary

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated person to join our friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic team. You do not need to have any experience to apply for this role but this is of course desirable. We are committed to providing full training as our main focus is finding someone with a positive, out-going nature and excellent people skills.

Whilst ensuring the safe unlocking and locking of the school during your designated hours, the post will also involve working alongside our Site Manager and cleaning team to ensure the school is maintained to the incredibly high standards that we have become accustomed to.

As a member of Embark Federation Multi Academy Trust, we are committed to developing our staff with a range of training and support and may offer opportunities to work across the trust.

More information about our school can be found by visiting our website at www.kilburnjunior.school

Interested candidates are strongly invited to look around the school. Please call the school on 01332 880540 and speak to Charlene Hudson to make arrangements.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.

Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
