Caretaker job summary

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and committed Caretaker who enjoys working within a school alongside staff and families and who will be responsible for site security, the cleanliness and safety of our school site, assisting with basic repairs and our planned preventative maintenance programme.

Hours of work will be 10 hours per week, term time only plus 2 weeks (40 weeks). The hours of work will be split into 2 shifts per day. Proposed hours of work are 7am-8am and 5.15pm-6.15pm. To be agreed with the successful candidate. Hours will vary in school holidays. Additional hours will be offered regularly. Fixed term initially from start date to 31st December 2026.

Salary: Band 3 Point 3, Actual salary £6186.36

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
