The role would suit someone who enjoys producing home bakes, batch cooking, and contributing to a friendly, high-quality food service. A commitment to excellent customer service and adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards is essential.
Key Areas of Focus:
Food Service: Assisting chefs with basic food preparation, setting up counters and dining areas, serving hot and cold food and drinks during service times, and cleaning kitchens, equipment, and dining areas before and after meals.
Customer Service: Greeting students, staff, and visitors in a friendly manner, handling payments accurately, and operating the cash register.
Hygiene & Safety: Following hygiene and food safety regulations, wearing appropriate protective clothing, and using cleaning products in line with COSHH guidelines.
Teamwork & School Values: Contributing to a positive team environment, supporting the school’s ethos and policies, attending meetings, and actively engaging in performance reviews and equal opportunity practices.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, positive, flexible and motivated individual with personal drive. You will be a self-starter, who can work with minimal supervision; proactive, with the ability to see what needs to be done and to prioritise work accordingly. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with all members of our Trust community.
