What skills and experience we're looking for

Qualifications & Experience

  • DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status
  • At least 2 years teaching experience (desirable)

Knowledge

  • A working knowledge of the National Curriculum and its associated assessment methods
  • An understanding of the relevant national strategies / frameworks

Abilities

  • Ability to raise achievement and attainment for all pupils
  • Ability to deliver well planned and stimulating lessons across the curriculum
  • The ability to assess need, plan and support children
  • The ability to implement programmes of support for children with whom you are working
  • The ability to organise and effectively manage a personal workload, prioritizing duties
  • The ability to work as part of a team and contribute towards its smooth operation
  • The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with school staff and any other colleagues that you may come into contact with
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • The ability to write any necessary reports for children
  • The ability to follow and work within the guidelines of whole school initiatives
  • The ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and other professionals
  • A commitment to equal opportunities
  • Ability to contribute to whole school review and development (Desirable)
  • Aptitude to build leadership skills and demonstrate initiative (Desirable)
  • Evidence of excellent pupil performance measures in Reading, Writing and Maths (Desirable)

Addison Primary School is an inner city two-form entry community school, located in West London. We are only a short walk between Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush stations and close to Westfield shopping centre.
