What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualifications & Experience
- DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status
- At least 2 years teaching experience (desirable)
Knowledge
- A working knowledge of the National Curriculum and its associated assessment methods
- An understanding of the relevant national strategies / frameworks
Abilities
- Ability to raise achievement and attainment for all pupils
- Ability to deliver well planned and stimulating lessons across the curriculum
- The ability to assess need, plan and support children
- The ability to implement programmes of support for children with whom you are working
- The ability to organise and effectively manage a personal workload, prioritizing duties
- The ability to work as part of a team and contribute towards its smooth operation
- The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with school staff and any other colleagues that you may come into contact with
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- The ability to write any necessary reports for children
- The ability to follow and work within the guidelines of whole school initiatives
- The ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and other professionals
- A commitment to equal opportunities
- Ability to contribute to whole school review and development (Desirable)
- Aptitude to build leadership skills and demonstrate initiative (Desirable)
- Evidence of excellent pupil performance measures in Reading, Writing and Maths (Desirable)

Addison Primary School is an inner city two-form entry community school, located in West London. We are only a short walk between Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush stations and close to Westfield shopping centre.
We are looking to recruit a class teacher to join an enthusiastic, committed and creative team.
