What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our hard working and committed team. The vacancy is for a teacher who can deliver an EYFS/engagement curriculum suited to non-subject specific pupils who have severe learning difficulties and are taught using a highly differentiated, individualised curriculum. Knowledge of the new EYFS curriculum and experience of working within a special school, catering for pupils with cognition and learning needs is essential. This should include supporting pupils with communication and physical difficulties, hearing and visual impairments and sensory processing disorders. Candidates must also have a willingness to further their own professional development by attending relevant courses and implementing new initiatives.

Kemball School is a day special school for pupils aged between 3 and 19 years of age with cognitive and learning difficulties (PMLD & SLD) some of whom have complex medical/physical needs). The school has a happy atmosphere and is welcoming and friendly. We currently have 222 pupils on roll.

Kemball School, part of the Orchard Community Trust and is a day special school for pupils with cognitive and learning difficulties. There are currently 218 pupils on roll aged 3-19. Dependent on need, pupils are educated in one of our four bespoke pathways. Please refer to our website for more information.
