Hillcrest Academy is a larger-than-average primary school located in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The school provides places for around 400 pupils aged 3-11. Hillcrest Academy is part of the GORSE Academies Trust, which is responsible for the running of around eight schools in the local area, at both primary and secondary level.
Hillcrest takes great pride in its extremely diverse catchment area, with a high proportion of pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds and a similarly high proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language.
Values and vision:
Hillcrest Academy seeks to ensure that every pupil receives a high-quality education regardless of background. To this end, the school highly values its investment in extra-curricular activities and an interesting and relatable curriculum. Parents are encouraged to play a large role in their child’s education, in order to foster a sense of community and responsibility.
With such a diverse intake of pupils, tolerance and diversity are of paramount importance to the primary school, and pupils are encouraged to have respect for different faiths and belief systems.

They are very well prepared for the next stage of their education. Every lesson counts at Hillcrest Academy. Teachers are relentless in supporting every pupil to reach their full potential.
