What skills and experience we're looking for

Experience Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school

Excellent classroom practitioner, who demonstrates enthusiasm and innovation in their teaching

Successful teaching based practices

Working effectively in a team Knowledge of teaching children with Special Educational Needs, EAL and PP Experience of teaching in more than one year group

Experience of leading a curriculum area

Recognised teaching qualification/Qualified Teacher Status Application In-Service Training

Participation in courses relevant to curriculum

Commitment to continuing personal and professional development

A subject specialism

A clear understanding of Child protection procedures and a commitment to keeping children safe

Using a variety of teaching styles, including individual, group and whole class approaches

Ability to achieve accelerated progress for pupils

Experience of engagement with innovative projects to raise standards for particular subgroup

Matching teaching to children’s individual needs

Knowledge of pupil target setting, inclusion & strategies for engaging all learners

Outstanding classroom practitioner with a range of teaching strategies

Knowledge & understanding of Assessment for Learning

A detailed knowledge of the whole curriculum with particular skill in the use of ICT to enhance learning

Planning for and supporting additional adults in the classroom

An understanding of the Frameworks and the principles of embedding key skills across the curriculum

Promoting and enhancing the personal and social development of every child

The Governors of this friendly and welcoming school are seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who wishes to join our thriving teaching team and school. We are looking for an outstanding teacher who is committed to the Catholic ethos of our school; an excellent classroom practitioner, who has high expectations of the students within their care and who works effectively as part of a team.

Your teaching should inspire and motivate our learners and you should be driven by a passion for making learning fun, exciting and challenging. Our children are developing a growth-mindset approach to learning and we expect the successful candidate to model this in their teaching.

Candidates will need to demonstrate good communication and nurturing skills, be enthusiastic and able to work on their own initiative at times and to engage in the fulfilment of our school mission: Our mission, with God’s help, is to grow and develop in all areas of our lives.
