Qualified Teacher

Evidence of further professional development

A good or outstanding classroom teacher.

Teaching experience in primary phase.

Working effectively within a team.

Experience of building supportive relationships with parents and the wider community.

Be able to offer an extra-curricular activity

Knowledge

Knowledge of the National Curriculum.

Knowledge and appreciation of current issues and developments in education.

Knowledge of what constitutes outstanding teaching and learning

Competent user of ICT.

Understanding of baseline assessments

Skills and Aptitudes

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Be calm and supportive.

Excellent classroom management.

Good relationships with pupils and staff.

Able to respond positively to new ideas and initiatives.

Personal Qualities

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

An ability to use initiative and be flexible.

Resilience and determination.

Positive and enthusiastic.

Good sense of humour.
