Cleaner and Key Holder job summary

Academy Cleaner and key holder - Thrybergh Fullerton CE Primary Academy

Working Pattern: 6:00 am to 8:00 am, Monday to Friday (10 hours per week), with the possibility of extending to 15 hours per week.

52 weeks per year (including some school holidays).

Permanent following a successful trial period.

Duties: Opening the school and completing cleaning tasks including holiday deep cleans.

Training: Full training provided.

Salary details: SCP 3 on the DSAT Pay Structure (£22,737 pro rata) £12.45 per hour

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Academy cleaner with good interpersonal skills and high standards. In return, we can promise a school full of amazing children, a genuine staff team and a well-resourced environment.

The Academy cleaner will be directly responsible to the Site supervisor but will work closely with the Head of School, Office Manager and other school staff.

The Academy cleaner is responsible for the upkeep of the school site; ensuring the buildings and grounds are clean and safe, ready for the children and staff to work, learn and play. Your role will include opening the school.

  • Someone that is reliable, proactive and dedicated
  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable
  • A conscientious person who sets high standards with attention to detail
  • Someone who can develop good relationships with staff and has excellent communication skills
  • A good team member, but able to work independently
