About the Role

Cleaning Duties

  • Clean classrooms, shared areas, and other designated spaces to a high standard, ensuring they are well-maintained and conducive to learning
  • Ensure all cleaning and site equipment is kept in a safe and working condition
  • Replenish consumables (e.g., soap, paper towels) as needed

Teamwork and Flexibility

  • Work collaboratively with the site team and other staff to ensure the school is clean and presentable at all times
  • Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the school

Safeguarding

  • Maintain a good understanding of the school's safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Report any concerns or issues related to the safety and wellbeing of pupils to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL)
  • Contribute to the overall safeguarding of all pupils in the school

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the school
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with pupils, staff, and visitors
  • Understanding of and commitment to the school's vision of being highly inclusive and supporting children with complex special needs
