Cleaner job summary

To carry out cleaning duties following United Learning procedures and policies, working as part of the team.

To ensure that sufficient staffing levels are maintained in the area to meet the business needs.

To carry out cleaning tasks to ensure that a high standard of cleaning is maintained.

To keep equipment clean and maintained and report any faults to your supervisor

Work in a safe manner and adhere to Safe Methods of Work.

To correctly use the cleaning equipment and materials provided, in compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures

Deliver a programme of deep cleans and evening cleaning sessions for all areas of the Academy during the holiday and throughout the year, as directed by the Site Manager

To ensure that all accidents/near misses are reported to the Site Manager.

To follow COSHH Risk Assessments and procedures

To control and issue cleaning materials and equipment.

To ensure that the team provide excellent customer care at all times

You'll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You'll have an enthusiastic approach to learning new skills, and be a strong coach, mentor and motivator for your team. You'll be a role model to the colleagues around you, ensuring the school is kept to a high standard of cleaning.

Training will be given to the right applicant but previous cleaning supervisory experience, preferably at a school is essential, with a BICSc qualification desirable.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
