Suffield Park Infant School is a friendly and thriving primary school in Cromer, dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and stimulating space for our pupils. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic School Cleaner to join our dedicated team. Working hours: Mon-Fri 15.15-17:30 

 

About the Role: 

As a School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring our school premises are clean, hygienic, and well-maintained. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Cleaning classrooms, hallways, offices, staff rooms, toilets, and other designated areas to a high standard. 
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors. 
  • Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. 
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately. 
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washrooms. 
  • Replenishing cleaning supplies. 
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards to the Site Manager. 
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures and COSHH regulations. 
  • Ensuring the security of the premises after cleaning duties. 

 

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided. 
  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude. 
  • Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail. 
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • A responsible and trustworthy nature. 
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. 
  • An understanding of the importance of hygiene in a school environment. 
  • A willingness to undertake any necessary training.

Suffield Park Infant and Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Appointment to the post includes obtaining two satisfactory references prior to interview and an enhanced DBS check.  

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post. Guidance about whether a conviction or caution should be disclosed can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
