We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Clerical Assistant to join our hardworking and welcoming team at St Austin’s Catholic Primary School, part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi Academy Trust.
Situated in the picturesque and historic town of Stafford, St Austin’s is a happy and successful school with a strong sense of community, high standards of achievement, and a warm, inclusive ethos grounded in Christian values.
The role is a permanent 37 hour per week, Monday to Friday, term-time plus insets
About the Role
The Clerical Assistant is a key member of the school office team, supporting the day-to-day administration of the school. Every day is different - you’ll be at the heart of school life, helping with everything from answering calls and greeting visitors to managing pupil records and supporting staff and parents.
You’ll work closely with the School Administrator and senior leaders to ensure the school runs smoothly and efficiently - all while creating a calm, positive atmosphere that reflects our caring school values.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is confident with clerical tasks, and has a passion for helping others in a school environment.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Is highly organised and has a strong attention to detail
- Can manage multiple tasks in a busy office with confidence and professionalism
- Is calm, patient, and sensitive to the needs of children, families, and staff
- Has a high standard of ICT and administrative competence
- Can work independently but is also a strong team player
- Will act as a welcoming and approachable front-of-house presence
