Cluster School Business Professional job summary
We are seeking an exceptional, highly organised and strategic School Business Professional to join our Trust and play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective leadership and management of school operations. Working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Central Trust Services, the successful candidate will lead and oversee key business functions including finance, administration, human resources, estates and facilities management, health and safety, compliance, procurement, ICT systems and governance.
This is a varied and influential role requiring a proactive professional with excellent leadership, financial and organisational skills. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with statutory and Trust requirements, managing budgets and resources effectively, leading support staff teams, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money across the organisation. You will also play a key role in strategic planning, risk management, school improvement initiatives and the delivery of high-quality support services that enable pupils and staff to thrive.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with strong financial acumen, a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. They will demonstrate integrity, professionalism and a passion for supporting educational excellence through outstanding business leadership.
