The Role
This is a senior, delivery-focused role responsible for leading communications and marketing across the Flying High Partnership. You will play a key role in shaping how we communicate with staff, families, communities, prospective employees, and external partners while strengthening our brand and supporting future growth.
During the first 12 to 18 months, the role will focus on establishing consistently high-quality communications across the Partnership, strengthening our external brand, and leading effective marketing activity that supports pupil recruitment and engagement.
Working closely with headteachers, senior leaders, and colleagues in the central team, you will provide expert advice and practical support while leading the development and delivery of impactful communications and marketing strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and delivering a Partnership-wide communications and marketing approach aligned to organisational priorities
Leading targeted campaigns that support recruitment and increase pupil numbers across the partnership
Managing and enhancing digital communications, including websites and social media platforms
Using data, feedback, and analytics to evaluate impact and continuously improve engagement and reach
Ensuring a strong and consistent Flying High Partnership brand across schools and central services
Developing communication resources, templates, and guidance to support high-quality delivery across the Partnership
Building trusted relationships with headteachers and senior leaders, acting as a valued strategic partner
Supporting communications and stakeholder engagement for schools joining the partnership and during organisational change
Leading communications and marketing activity for Partnership-wide events, initiatives, and strategic projects
Working Pattern
This role is based within the Central Team and will require regular travel across our schools and partnership locations. Some flexibility will be required, including occasional attendance at evening events where necessary.

About You
We are looking for an experienced communications and marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with excellent delivery skills.
You will:
Have demonstrable experience in a communications or marketing role
Have experience leading communications across multiple stakeholder groups
Have experience managing campaigns with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
Be confident influencing and working alongside senior leaders
Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Be highly skilled in digital communications, including websites, social media, and analytics
Build strong, professional relationships and establish credibility quickly
Be proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused
Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
