Cover Supervisor job summary

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and flexible cover supervisors to join our team (27.5 hours per week)

The role primarily involves supervising whole classes during the absence of the class teacher under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, including implementing work programmes, managing pupil behaviour and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures. The successful candidates will have a good standard of education, including English and Maths (GCSE grade C), good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience of working with 11-16 year olds in a classroom environment would be advantageous as would a flexible and positive approach.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
