Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is seeking an organised, accurate and analytical individual who is able to work well within a large school environment and associated demands for the role of Data Manager.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • To manage data analysis for the Academy and Trust by collating, controlling, interpreting and disseminating complete and accurate data to enable target setting, analyse results and provide baseline data for the executive leadership team and teachers so action can be taken to help raise student standards of achievement.
  • To manage the Academy’s reporting of student progress to parents
  • To ensure accurate and timely production of academy statistics in order to report to the government, Academy committee members, Trust, Executive Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
  • With support from relevant SLT, build and maintain accurate timetabling information in readiness for the new academic year and ensure it is kept updated throughout the school year.
  • To manage staff data and update database with any staff changes in liaison with HR.


About You:

You will be someone with strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, excellent communication, technical proficiency, as well as project management abilities to ensure data quality, governance, and meaningful insights.


Essential:

  • Good basic level of education preferably including GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Sound experience of development, management and operation of organisational and administrative procedures.
  • Experience of data collection, analysis and reporting and of maintaining accurate data within IT management information systems, preferably within a school or education environment.
  • Excellent analytical and IT skills, preferably including the use of the Microsoft Excel, Access and MIS in order to produce accurate and effective report and tracking systems.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken, in order to interpret and present data and to ascertain exact reporting needs for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
