Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead / Family Liaison Officer job summary
We are seeking an exceptional and committed Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our busy, inclusive, non-selective mixed secondary school. Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and wider pastoral team, you will play a vital role in promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of every student. The successful candidate will be calm, compassionate and highly organised, with the confidence to manage complex and sensitive safeguarding concerns, maintain accurate records and work effectively with families and external agencies. You will need sound professional judgement, excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of current safeguarding guidance and procedures. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about ensuring that all young people—whatever their background or circumstances—feel safe, supported and able to thrive.
