APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY HEADTEACHER
Salary L10- L14 (52723 - £58135)

Abbey Lane Primary School is looking for a non-class-based Deputy Headteacher to support the Headteacher and take primary responsibility for overseeing the strategic direction and development of assessment throughout the school. If you are an excellent practitioner who would like to use your creativity to make a real difference, we would like to hear from you.
We have a strong commitment to raising attainment and ensuring all children reach their potential. We are seeking somebody who:
- has current or recent KS1 experience (essential),
- is an outstanding and dynamic classroom practitioner with high expectations of pupil achievement at all levels,
- has excellent and proven interpersonal, leadership and management skills,
- is an inspirational and creative team player with vision and drive who can motivate and lead others
- has a good knowledge of monitoring and evaluation processes in order to provide good support for school self-evaluation.
Ideally you will already be a deputy headteacher or assistant headteacher in your current school and have a good working knowledge of assessment systems from FS2 to Y6. The successful candidate will also be required to act as a deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL) which will include responsibility for on-line safety.
