What skills and experience we're looking for

The school is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational leader to join our highly successful secondary special school for pupils aged 11–19 whose primary need is ASC or MLD.

Our vision is for staff and pupils to be “role models and catalysts for change.” We are therefore seeking an exceptional leader who:

  • Has proven and recent senior leadership experience.
  • Can manage and inspire change with confidence and positivity.
  • Demonstrates a passionate commitment to inclusion, equal opportunities and high-quality SEND provision.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Will lead with ambition, integrity and creativity, ensuring the very best outcomes for every pupil.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a forward-looking leader to make a significant impact in a thriving school, surrounded by inspirational colleagues and wonderful students. We are seeking someone who will embrace the challenge of shaping the next chapter of Clare Mount’s journey while maintaining our long-established reputation for excellence.
