What skills and experience we're looking for

A strong understanding of inclusive practice, with the ability to identify and remove barriers to learning for all pupils

Expertise in SEND, safeguarding and pastoral systems, including statutory frameworks and responsibilities

Proven ability to lead whole-school inclusion strategies that improve outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify need, evaluate provision and drive improvement

Experience of leading and developing staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive practice across a school

Ability to design and implement effective systems for behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing

Strong partnership-working skills, including working with families, external agencies and the wider community

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships

A clear commitment to equity, ensuring all pupils are supported to flourish academically and personally

The ability to think strategically while maintaining a sharp focus on day-to-day operational impact
