What skills and experience we're looking for

  • A strong understanding of inclusive practice, with the ability to identify and remove barriers to learning for all pupils
  • Expertise in SEND, safeguarding and pastoral systems, including statutory frameworks and responsibilities
  • Proven ability to lead whole-school inclusion strategies that improve outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify need, evaluate provision and drive improvement
  • Experience of leading and developing staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive practice across a school
  • Ability to design and implement effective systems for behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing
  • Strong partnership-working skills, including working with families, external agencies and the wider community
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships
  • A clear commitment to equity, ensuring all pupils are supported to flourish academically and personally
  • The ability to think strategically while maintaining a sharp focus on day-to-day operational impact
