About the Role
As a Teacher of Design Technology and Engineering at UCS, you will:
Deliver an engaging, broad, and relevant Design Technology curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13, including GCSE, A Level, and BTEC pathways.
Inspire pupils through creative and practical lessons that develop critical thinking and real-world skills in our state-of-the-art workshops, computer suites, and food rooms.
Play a key role in shaping the department’s strategic vision, curriculum development, and enrichment activities.
Foster a culture of high expectations, excellent behaviour, and academic achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust and engage with parents and external partners to enhance pupil progress and opportunities.
Support the Trust’s specialism in Engineering and facilitate employer engagement to prepare pupils for future careers.
Contribute as a Form Tutor, supporting pupils’ personal development, wellbeing, and life skills.You will join a team committed to innovation and continuous improvement, with opportunities to develop your professional skills through tailored training, mentoring, and leadership pathways.
