Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Grade 8 (£33,024-£35,745) job summary
We wish to appoint a Designated Safeguarding Lead here at Stuart Bathurst Catholic High School. The safeguarding and wellbeing of our students is paramount and we are looking for an individual to be tenacious in ensuring the safety and welfare of all of our students, working under the direction of the MAC’s Secondary School Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing safeguarding within the school and be a point of contact / intervention for all students, parents / carers and external agencies. Completing accurate, detailed and timely records is essential.

i Is able to advise and support other members of staff on child welfare and child protection matters.
Is able to liaise with external agencies including the local authority and the police.
Is passionate and has a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
Is an excellent communicator, confident dealing with a number of different stakeholders.
Has an excellent understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures and demonstrates a high standard of numeracy and literacy.
Is committed to raising standards and improving the life-chances of student
