About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a specialism in food tech to join our team. In this role, you will deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop practical cookery skills, an understanding of nutrition and food science, and the confidence to make informed healthy lifestyle choices. You will inspire students to be creative, independent learners while preparing them with valuable life skills that extend beyond the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to high-quality teaching, strong student outcomes and contributing to the wider life of the academy.
Key responsibilities:
- Teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons in food preparation, nutrition and food science.
- Support students to develop creativity, technical skills and confidence in the kitchen.
- Monitor progress and provide effective support to help all learners succeed.
- Contribute to the wider life and continued development of the academy.
We welcome applications from qualified teachers who have successfully completed their statutory induction period. Unfortunately, we are not currently able to support ECT induction for this post.
