Early Years Classroom Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years practitioner, who will be focused on providing the very best outcomes for our youngest learners. At the heart of our school values is collaboration and the successful candidate will be keen to work alongside their colleagues to continually enhance provision and provide play-rich opportunities for learning. A sound knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning and assessment within Early Years, accompanied with a commitment to enabling all children to achieve their fullest potential are essential components of the role, so that each learner will be enabled to achieve the maximum benefit from their education at Gorsemoor.
Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage are currently taught in the Nursery and two Reception classes, where we will be looking to appoint you as an EYFS Teacher based in Reception. We are particularly proud of our EYFS provision as it provides the children in the community with a fantastic start to their educational journey.
The role of a class teacher is varied, where no two days are the same, it is essential therefore that the successful candidate must be able to use their initiative, have high levels of self-reflection and a commitment to their growing professional development, energy and resilience. We are looking for an EYFS Teacher who is passionate about creating a rich, inclusive, and balanced environment for children. As an EYFS teacher you will be working within a friendly team and building strong relationships with parents, so someone who is collaborative and dedicated is essential. Starting school is an important milestone in every child’s life and an EYFS Teacher plays a vital role in preparing children for learning in a classroom.
