Are you an outstanding teacher with proven leadership qualities? 

We are looking for a visionary and enthusiastic leader of Early Years to take our good provision (52 place Nursery and 60 place Reception classes) to the next level of its development. 

The successful candidate will enjoy reaching the highest levels of success while creating innovative approaches to Early Years education with our talented children, within a very supportive community of children, parents and professionals. The successful candidate will be a member of our Senior Leadership Team, and will therefore be taking part in significant strategic, long term decisions for the school. The candidate will teach in one of our reception classes and will be released for Leadership time each week. 

Ashton West End Primary Academy is a good school and is at an exciting stage of its continuing development, building upon the existing successes and looking to grow. The nursery and reception classrooms have recently been renovated which includes three new outdoor learning areas for our pupils. 

We are looking for someone to join our supportive and caring team who: 

·         puts children at the top of the agenda 
·         is able to demonstrate excellent teaching, with experience of teaching within the Foundation Stage 
·         has good interpersonal and leadership skills 
·         has a strong commitment to raising achievement 
·         can excite, inspire and motivate pupils and staff 
·         has a proven track record in raising standards 
·         is knowledgeable and passionate about education 
·         is open to new ideas and approaches 
·         commits themselves to success through effort and teamwork. 

Prospective candidates are welcome to visit the school (following Coronavirus guidelines, this would be organised when pupils were not in school) Experience of successful EYFS teaching is essential.

Shortlisting will take place w/b Monday 5th July 2021.

Successful candidates in the interview, may be asked to teach a lesson in our school.

 Ashton West End Primary Academy converted to a standalone academy in March 2015. The academy is a popular school which caters for pupils from different ethnic background. There over 15 different languages spoken by pupils which demonstrate the diverse nature of the academy.  The academy was inspected as a new school in February 2018 and was judged as good by OfSTED. The academy is a popular school with waiting list for a number of cohorts.  The Governors are looking for an outstanding leader who will continue to develop the academy's Early Years provision and will have the highest ambitions for our children. The applicant will be a skilled communicator who can engage with all sections of our community, and who will have a clear vision for excellent Ashton West End is a two-form standalone academy trust with a 52-place nursery.
