Educational Communicator - Level 3 (L3.6 - L3.8) & Level 2 (L2.4 - L2.5)

Fixed term Contract beginning ASAP till the end of Summer Term (21st July 2027)

Full time, 27.5 hours per week/5 days per week

and

Part time, 16.5 hours per week/3 days per week

Actual salary starts at:

27.5 hours a week:

Level 3.6 - £16,715.90

Level 2.4 - £16,198.77

16.5 hours a week:

Level 3.6 - £10,029.54

Level 2.4 - £9,719.26

A qualification of Level 1 British Sign Language is required as a minimum for the post.

Candidates without Level 1 BSL will be appointed at Level 2. Candidates who hold a Level 1 BSL qualification, or who are willing to complete the training within the first six months of the role, will be appointed at Level 3.

Are you an Educational Communicator who enjoy working as part of a highly experienced team?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educational Communicator to provide communication support for pupils whose deafness is diagnosed as severe or profound. You will enable students to access the academic and social curriculum and empower them to realise their full potential, under the direction of the IDP Leader. The ability to use your own initiative, working alone and as part of a friendly team, is vital; as is being part of the wider school family. The successful candidate will be supported by the IDP team with appropriate continuous professional development.
