Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time only + Inset days)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Split shifts: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 10:00 and 14:45 - 18:15

About the Role

Woolden Hill Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Club Manager. The successful candidate will be committed to providing inspirational and motivational environment for children afterschool/Breakfast club/WAC provision. First and foremost, we are seeking an inspiring, committed leader and team player.

We will provide opportunities for our children to play, explore and learn, recognising their fundamental need to be physically active, to be cared for and to be nurtured according to the individual child’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To fulfil the expectations of practice as set out in the Discovery Wrap Around Care Framework in all areas. Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments, Healthy Minds and Bodies, Safe Systems.
  • To prepare, maintain and monitor a safe and secure environment for the children; to monitor resources and ensure adequate stock in an appropriate condition.
  • To maintain a duty of care for all children attending the WAC provision.
  • To liaise with parents and carers to ensure that the welfare, cultural and development needs of individual children are met and to encourage parent and carer support.
  • To develop inclusion by:
    • facilitating participation;
    • helping to build confidence and self-esteem;
    • promoting a sense of independence;
    • encouraging and supporting children to reach their full potential.

    What We’re Looking For

    Qualifications:

    • NVQ3 or equivalent in Childcare.

    Experience:

    • Experience of working with children.
    • Knowledge of working within the education and meeting the requirements relating to Ofsted Inspection.
    • Experience of managing a budget
    • Ability to lead a team of adults.

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of assessment procedures and record keeping.
    • Experience of working with children of a relevant age.
    • Experience of budget management
    • Experience of staff management
    • Ability to provide a safe environment, ensuring that the needs of the young people are met at all times
    • Ability to form trusting relationships with young people and adults
