What skills and experience we're looking for
Key Responsibilities:
- Family Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for families, providing support and guidance.
- Facilitate effective communication between the school and families.
- Organise and lead family engagement activities and workshops.
- Multi-agency Coordination:
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for pupils.
- Coordinate multi-agency meetings and follow up on action points.
- Maintain accurate records of multi-agency interactions and interventions.
- Safeguarding:
- Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Conduct safeguarding training and awareness sessions for staff and families.
- Manage safeguarding concerns and liaise with relevant authorities as necessary.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain detailed records of family and multi-agency interactions.
- Prepare reports and documentation for senior leadership and external agencies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school policies related to family and multi-agency engagement.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education, social work, or a related field.
- Safeguarding training and certification.
- Experience:
- Experience working with children with SLD and PMLD.
- Proven track record in family support and multi-agency coordination.
- Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Empathetic, caring, and professional approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Job Purpose:
To support and coordinate the engagement of families and multi-agency partners in the educational and welfare needs of pupils with severe learning needs (SLD) and profound and multiple learning needs (PMLD) from EYFS to Year 10.
