A clear, confident telephone manner is essential. The successful candidate must be comfortable contacting parents by telephone/email, including following up outstanding payments for school lunches, trips and School Community Contributions.

We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who is flexible, practical and happy to turn their hand to whatever needs doing. They should be a strong team player, willing to support colleagues across the school when required. Confident communication with parents, accuracy and discretion are essential.

Typical duties will include:

  • Providing reception and front-of-house cover, welcoming parents, pupils and visitors

  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with general enquiries

  • Assisting with school lunch administration

  • Providing general administrative support to colleagues and helping with the smooth day-to-day running of the school office

  • Providing occasional cover for lunchtime duties when required

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is essential. Experience of Arbor would be an advantage, although training will be provided.

The role is for 1.5 days per week, term time only, working:

Thursday: 8.00am-4.00pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break
Friday: 8.00am-1.00pm
