What skills and experience we're looking for

The Head teacher and Governing Body are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified teaching assistant to support a pupil with SEND needs, as part of a supportive team, encouraging and helping all our children to achieve their full potential in line with the Person Specification and Grade 2 TA Job Description.


The role being offered is for a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant to work 5.5 hours per day, (Monday to Friday). The role will be temporary for 1 year, with a view to extension. The role is non-term time only.

Our new Teaching Assistant will:

  • Support in 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Support 5 days a week.
  • Have an empathetic, nurturing manner.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
  • Build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Be well organised.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Fully participate in school life.
  • Support to engage pupils in positive play.
  • Demonstrate an ability to support pupils with additional needs.
