Head of Department - English job summary

MILLOM SCHOOL Head of Department - English MPR/UPR plus TLR 1a £8291 1.0fte from April 2022 or September 2022 We are looking for a Head of English Department to join our school. The post-holder will lead the department in the teaching and development of English within the school, including shaping departmental policy. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and committed candidate with the ability to engage and motivate students, promote English within the school, and act as a positive role model. The ability to lead a departmental team with professionalism and a sense of humour are essential factors. Millom School also offers opportunities for its staff to take part in professional and career development. Millom School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its students. All applicants are subject to the requirements of the Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education guidelines. Millom School is a small 11-18 community school and an established sixth form. The Post-16 curriculum includes a range of A-level and BTEC subjects.
