What skills and experience we're looking for

Significant governance, compliance or company secretarial experience within an academy trust or comparable organisation.

Strong understanding of academy trust governance, company law and charity law.

Experience supporting Boards, Trustees, Governors or senior executives.

Knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory compliance and assurance requirements.

Experience managing complex governance and compliance activities.

Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and professional judgement.

Ability to build credibility and influence at senior leadership and board level.

Experience developing governance processes, systems and reporting frameworks.

Knowledge of data protection and Freedom of Information requirements.

Commitment to integrity, professionalism and continuous improvement.
