What skills and experience we're looking for

An innovative and talented Head of Religious Education is required from September 2023. RE is a well-resourced department; students have lively debates, outside speakers, engaging opportunities and active teaching and learning in lessons. The department has a strong track record of success at GCSE and A Level. RE GCSE is completed in Year 10 for all students and we offer Philosophy & Ethics as A Level.

The successful candidate will be someone who can teach across the full age and ability range and be prepared to take part in and lead educational trips. All applicants must have a track record of excellent RE delivery and demonstrate a passion for the subject with the ability to inspire a love of learning. Your teaching will be of a high standard and you will be knowledgeable about curriculum sequencing. You will aspire to challenge every student and be committed to ensuring George Abbot students access high quality RE provision.
