Governors of St Richard’s Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint an
exceptional individual to become our Head of School. We are seeking an
inspirational leader to drive the school forward, in collaboration with our
Executive Headteacher, as it continues its journey to excellence. The
successful candidate will be a committed Catholic with positive, dynamic and
ambitious vision who has the ability to inspire those around them.
Richard’s is a one and a half form entry school, with extensive internal and
external space, located between the South Downs and the sea in the historic
city of Chichester. The school is supported by a committed staff team, amazing
children and supportive parents. The post holder will benefit from a safe,
happy, caring environment which encourages pupils to take advantage of all
opportunities offered in order to develop their full potential both personally
and academically. The school is underpinned by a well-structured curriculum and
Catholic values, striving to instil a love of learning across the community.
Richard’s has started the journey to join the Bosco Catholic Education Trust,
comprising Catholic primaries and secondary schools across Sussex. Each school
retains its own identity, reflective of the community it serves, while enjoying
the support of a strong trust team. The school achieved ‘Good’ in all areas in
Ofsted 2022 and also enjoys an ‘Outstanding’ section 48 inspection grade.
