What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a person who:-

  • Has a passion for our school, including a love for children and a desire to support the development of staff
  • Has a clear vision for primary education and has the skills and ability to implement this vision so as to further improve the attainment and achievement of our pupils
  • Has a clear understanding of leadership within the context of Catholic education and Catholic Social Teaching
  • Has the ability to build upon the existing rich curriculum with high expectations of children’s attainment, achievement and behaviour, supporting each child to develop and reach their own unique, individual potential.
  • Has a commitment to inclusion, putting the needs of children first so they are supported in all aspects of their development, including working with parents and other constituents
  • Has a strong track record of raising standards across a school and who has the leadership qualities to inspire, challenge and encourage staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills, can communicate clearly and can organise with an understanding of key priorities, and who can sustain a culture of good work-life balance and well-being for staff
  • Has the skills to challenge and empower staff so they can be the best they can be

What the school offers its staff

The community of All Saints can offer:-

  • An extremely happy school to work in, where relationships are good and partnerships are strong. Above all, our pupils are fantastic.
  • The strong support of an experienced governing body with great expertise and understanding. They have the children at the heart of all decision-making.
  • A talented and supportive, very hard-working group of senior and middle leaders
  • A range of community partners keen to accompany the school on the next chapter of this wonderful story, including the Liverpool Philharmonic and the Liverpool FC Foundation.
  • Hugely supportive parents, carers and a thriving parish community to work alongside
  • A strong commitment to your own professional development and well-being.

I will leave the rest to our Catholic Schools’ Inspectorate report from 2024.

The school mission statement expresses: ‘In the light of God, we shine on our own, but we shine brighter together.’ This is nurtured and lived out in all the school does for the pupils to flourish. One staff member said: “I’m so proud of the belief our school has in every pupil. No barrier is too great to overcome, no child too difficult to work with, nobody is forgotten, nobody is left behind.”

Come and see us.

We will be delighted to talk more about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead something very special.
