You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of our school’s values.

You will possess business acumen and the competency to lead the school to deservedly positive outcomes. You will also be able to develop the wrap around care facility to maximise the opportunity it presents. You will also have a desire to and be willing to work within a multi academy trust (MAT) moving in line with the Government’s strategic direction. Knowledge of joining a MAT is desirable but not essential.

What the school offers its staff

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and committed leader to join the team at LHPSN. LHPSN is a two-form entry local authority maintained primary school in the village of Lickey in the Lickey Hills in Worcestershire. LHPSN covers ages 3 to 11 and has a specialist provision language base, whose pupils are very much part of our highly inclusive school. We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good School’ and our 2022 SATs results for Key stage 2 progress and attainment were in the top 20% of schools in the country and significantly higher than average nationally for maths, phonics, reading, writing and science.

We also offer:

  • A fantastic staff body: committed, caring and hardworking.
  • A committed, experienced and supportive governing body.
  • A caring environment where pastoral care and student welfare are important along with educational outcomes.
  • An inclusive community.
  • A dedicated parking spot for the Head Teacher.

Further details about the role

Aims and Ethos

Our school motto is Dream together, Believe together, Achieve together. It underpins our aims and ambitions for every member of the school community. At LHPSN we want our pupils to believe in themselves so they are confident, courageous and resilient when faced with present and future challenges. The school curriculum encourages perseverance, responsibility and respect.

LHPSN has a strong values led ethos with highly qualified and dedicated staff who believe in supporting the development of resilient, creative and ambitious learners.

Our new bespoke non-core curriculum has key strengths in science, music, history and art. Considerable investment has been made in these areas. We have a passion for creativity in all areas of the curriculum going beyond the national curriculum and enabling children to become confident and responsible citizens. We believe that children should work hard but that education should be stimulating, enjoyable and memorable. Our talented staff strive to maintain a caring, safe, happy purposeful and stimulating environment where each child feels respected and valued and is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

We are one of twelve schools across Worcestershire that has been chosen to work towards The Inclusion Quality Mark, an award for inclusive practice. It is in recognition of LHPSN's work on inclusion for all.

If you are excited by our school's aims and ethos then we would love to hear from you.
