It is an exciting time to join the Estates team at Hamwic Education Trust. We are building both our capacity and capability to ensure an excellent service in support of education for our pupils. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Health & Safety Manager, with an excellent skills set and proven knowledge to lead health & safety across the Trust.

Hamwic Education Trust is a growing multi-academy trust, currently comprising of 36 schools (33 primary, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school across the South Coast. We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join our growing team of professionals, in order to support our schools, with collaborative working across all schools.

The Health & Safety Manager role reports to the Head of Estates, and, in this varied role, will be responsible for supporting School Leaders, Site Managers and Business Managers in relation to health & safety and compliance.

The role requires visits to all Trust schools therefore flexibility around travel is essential.

WE ARE SEEKING AN PROFESSIONAL WHO:

  • Has a keen eye for detail and ideally has experience of education premises and Health & Safety, along with strong organisational skills.
  • Is self-motivated to actively support the estates strategic plan and development for the Trust.
  • Has excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Has good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate is essential
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate would be desirable.
