What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Is ideally a practising Catholic, however, all applications will be considered on merit and we welcome non-Catholic applicants who will uphold and promote our Catholic faith and values.
  • Is trained as and has experience of being a HLTA
  • Or someone who holds a relevant Foundation Degree or teaching degree such as an ECT.
  • Has specialist knowledge and skills, at advanced level about the National curriculum
  • Is passionate about teaching and learning
  • Can confidently plan schemes of work, deliver fabulous lessons and assess all subjects taught
  • Can inspire and challenge our highly motivated and enthusiastic children.
  • Has a positive outlook, a sense of humour and an ability to work with other professionals is essential.
  • Will work with children who have additional needs such as SEND and EAL
  • Has proven behaviour management experience
  • Is competent and confident with using ICT to plan and deliver teaching and learning
  • Is able to work within an agreed level of autonomy
  • Can be responsible for the management and deployment of other staff within the class.
  • Participate and lead in training, staff meetings & other learning activities, including performance development, as required
