HR & Admin Assistant (Maternity Cover) job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our committed School HR team.

The HR & Admin Assistant will support the school’s HR Manager in the provision of a high quality, efficient HR service for the school. The role is varied and will oversee end-to-end recruitment, respond to HR queries under the HR Manager’s guidance as well as ensuring that staff files are up-to-date. The post-holder will also provide administrative support to the Director of Operations.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Supporting in the end-to-end recruitment of all staff
  • Supporting with onboarding checks and supporting with the induction of new staff
  • Ensuring staff records are maintained and fully up-to-date with accurate information
  • Assisting with monthly payroll administration
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support and answering queries in a timely manner

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience of working in a HR related role
  • CIPD level 3 qualification or working towards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with colleagues, pupil/students, parents/carers and other visitors in a professional manner
  • Courteous and effective when dealing with people
  • Committed to the safeguarding of children
